If you have a truck with 4.10 gears NOTHING will give you a quicker performance gain than 4.88 gears.
Caveman and I have been talking about him changing to 4.88's and I could not think of anything it would hurt and only performance gains. Your truck will feel like you found 100 hidden horsepower from the 4.10's. The gain from 4.56's is not nearly so drastic but there is a good difference.
It makes the truck much more drivable in town and does not drastically hurt interstate driving. I have driven mine to Panama City twice with the 4.88's and could hardly tell a difference.
I have had all three gears in my truck at one time or another and if you have 4.10's CHANGE EM to 4.56 or 4.88.
