I've looked from on top and up from below and all the pulleys seem to be in alignment, none of them farther away/closer to the engine than the rest, thus I hadn't gone to the trouble of removing the crank pulley and checking the balancer. I would hate to have to remove and re-torque that bolt...

My truck has been having overheating issues off and on for a couple years. When it pegged the gauge a couple times I took it to the shop and they did a coolant flush and found a bunch of air in there. After that it didn't overheat again for the last 9 months until I started using the heater...

So after about 4 days the squeaking came back some... But only at WOT, otherwise it doesn't happen at idle. So I'm guessing I need to replace the tensioner still, Napa doesn't have one for this truck. Has anyone used the one from Rock Auto? It's less than half the cost of OEM from Dodge.

So, replaced the idler pulley, sound went away when rpms were increased but was still there at idle. Replaced the belt, sound went away completely. But... that said, last time the belt was replaced this happened and it came back a couple days later. I'm still gonna check the balancer and crank...

Geezuz, man I hope mine isn't that bad. I tried taking off the belt and hand spinning all the pulleys, no noise (even tried using the belt wrapped around them and yanked to get them spinning faster, still nothing). Did notice the belt tensioner is pretty rusted internally, and its pulley stops...

Reply I wish to god that it were that easy... ;) I have tried all angles, barely in, all the way out, gave it the lovin... Nothing helped. Already tried a gas container as well, but it still overflows and I have to stop pouring. There is nothing stuck in the fill hose, already took that off...

Update So, I have no engine codes. I put in some injector cleaner which helped with the rough running some (so possibly bad gas), also disconnected the battery for 2 hours and now it seems to be almost perfect again, from that aspect. It still occasionally misses but it is nowhere near as...
