Posting this hoping someone will have some idea on what happened and a way to fix it/prevent it from happening again.
The other day I was driving the truck (2005 QC) up a hill to merge onto the freeway. I pushed it to try to get up to highway speeds and it started stuttering/jerking back and...
Finally removed the intake manifold so I can do an ignition tune up with JTSVP's coils and Spider venom wires. What a pain in the ass it was but its finally off. If any of you are interested in tackling the job here's a good reference How To: Intake Manifold Removal - Dodge Ram SRT-10 Forum...

Just an update for any of you.
Turns out it was time for a rebuild. Clutch materials were clogging everything up. Had the transmission rebuilt with racing bands and 2400 stall convertor at my local AAMCO shop. 10000+ miles later she's still pulling strong and chirping tires in...
Update
Started driving around this afternoon. It threw a code P0307(Misfire in cylinder 7). Gotta figure that out first but it might have been the cause of the popping noise. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for the help.
It pops under idle. Every once in awhile in Park and neutral. More so in Drive while at idle. I don't notice it during decel. Ill check exhaust system this weekend for any leaks. Ignition system is fine. I double checked the spark plugs and ignition wires twice after hearing the pop. I'm...
Just recently installed Belanger Tri-Y headers with cat delete which feeds into a Borla exhaust. After installing and starting it up and letting it warm up for a few minutes, I could hear loud popping noises coming out of the back of the exhaust. I've driven it around for a couple hundred...
I just got a set of Belanger headers. They recommend not tuning it until the 500 mile break in period. Comes with gaskets that mate up with the heads. They also recommend using high temp gasket maker for mating up the headers with the mid pipes/cats.
Just an update..
Turns out I was about 2 quarts low on tranny fluid. Filled it up to level and she drove fine for a few weeks then she started acting up again. Cleaned off the transmission speed sensor which wasn't really dirty at all but for some reason seemed to help. A few weeks go by and...
I realize that but I'm still over 4 hours away. I'm still considering having the transmission dropped and sent to them. Lots of things to think about:confused:
Damn. Hoping that wasn't the case but it makes sense. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Should I rebuild? If so are there any good rebuild kits? Should I just replace it with a used 48RE? Or should I just go with a brand new high performance trans? What's a good replacement...
Got the parts in. Replaced the transmission pressure governor and pressure sensor transducer. Seemed to fix the problem. I was even able to drive it 250 miles to Charlotte and back with no issues. Still hard shifting between 1st and 2nd every so often. Drove it this past weekend and if would...
Just purchased the Dodge 48RE Upgrade Governor Pressure Solenoid Kit and
DODGE 48RE PRESSURE SENSOR TRANSDUCER from JTS Venom. Going to install the weekend it comes in. Keeping my fingers crossed that it solves the issue.
Having what I believe to be Transmission problems. I have a 2005 QC with 48RE Transmission. No major mods just a CAI and Borla Catback. Noticed an issue driving it a day after washing it. Not sure if washing it has anything to do with the cause just thought I would mention it. I did use a...
15-50? hmmm. I think I'll try that. I was thinking about getting slow bleed lifters to get rid of the sewing machine noise but different oil is much cheaper.
I did the same thing I have an aftermarket double DIN and used the AXXESS adapter. Ran into the same problem with the speakers not working. I had to hook it up to my computer and flash the firmware on the AXXESS.
If you figure out a way to get the steering wheel controls to work with the...
