2004 to 2006 Conversion in the works

OK guys, the 2006 truck isnt a piece of crap at all. I simply changed out the seats & seatbelts. Many out there actually like the 04 seats better anyway. I dont think this qualifies the truck as a hacked up turd. Some of you are real dummies with the comments you make. The truck will go to the Dallas Dealers-Only Auto Auction and sell to a car dealer. I couldnt care less what happens to it after I send it to the auction. If some car dealer sells it, how did I screw anyone? This post wasnt about the 06 truck, it was about the 04 truck I am converting to an 06. I thought it may interest some of you as I am doing something that hasnt been done before(to my knowledge anyway). I'll get some pics as soon as its ready. All the parts are here except for the fenders. I am actually trying to find some factory silver fenders so I can just bolt them on and skip any paintwork except for the bumper. We'll just have to see.

Did a '04 to '06+ swap a couple years ago but only changed the exterior since I like the 04-05 interior better. If I recall correctly the headlights(NightRunner) required an adapter to work and still have not done the +07(afterburner) brake lights yet but you will have to cut/splice the harness for it to work. The brake lights have been sitting in the garage now for quite a while, lol.

I also need the seat belt frame because the guy that installed the twin nitrous bottles in the center seat console cut them off.

bait and switch ,,dealer will think he is getting an 06 proper and will get sued cause its been canabilized after he sells it :dontknow: if sold at auction he does not have to disclose its be raped ,,still i thinks its wrong ,,some guy will be proud thinking he got a deal on an 06 to find out its not really an 06 :dontknow:

I dont see any thing crooked...it's "buyer beware"....they get to see the interiors before buying....and doesnt matter, to me it's the same as having a custom interior...the truck is used....would it be a scam for the dealer to buy the truck and find it has an after market exhaust??.....:dontknow:
 
what are you morons talking about...it'll be titled as an 04....you're all car guys, would you buy a vehicle based on the seats and front fenders? I look at the title when I buy my cars....seriously this stupid shit is why I barely get on here anymore....the guy is doing an interesting project that he thought he'd share with everyone...and you idiots try to turn him into a scam artist....what the F? It sounds like a cool project good luck....I'd like to see the pics....to each his own

if it is titled as an 04 i see no problem ,,if its titled as an 06 with nothing but 04 parts i said i would have a problem if i bought a truck thinking it was an 06 just to find out i have a 04 motor trans and interior ,,

and i have your moron hanging in my pants :D

i have nothing against his project but what gets me is the comment about pushing it off as 06 not custum or 06 with 04 parts who cares if dealer gets skunked but the guy who spends his hard earned money on what he thinks is a 06 then someone tells him it is a butcherd 06 then dealer gives him the finger and says you bought it its your problem then he comes on this forum for advice what are you gonna tell him welcome to the family ?
