2009 PBIR Truck Challenge Input

The new schedule will be posted ASAP, but now that we all have some experince under our belts we'd like to hear from all of you that help make this a success and so much fun...

What do you like, dislike and are there any thoughts on what we can do to make this monthly meet more fun?
Please chime in and post any ideas (positive or negative),,, your ideas will be presented to the track, the challenge staff of each series as a whole and incorporated into the next years events if or as possible.

Here are some ideas already under way.

We had a blast last year during the all day events and the year end event with the group cookouts... If the current schedule remains the same (gates open at 11 am racing till well after dark) we would like to do it every month.

We have also considered a morning "brunch" get together and "cruise in" to the race track. It would probably be a spot in the PGA Blvd area so as to be near the track and convenient for all who want to attend.

As some of you know, space is currently limited with the new road couse operationg at the same time the dragstrip does. There will be another parking area to follow sometime in the future, but we have immediate needs.
So, in the meantime as a solution Jack is negotiating to get a "show area" to allow other trucks inside the gate for a small fee... We all know we don't like to leave our ladies unattended
For example:
Challenge racers is $35
Spectator is $20 (parking outside the gates now)
Show entry might be $25 (not an actual show, but allowing parking trucks with the racing trucks, corvettes with racing corvettes, ect inside the gate)

Before it gets mentioned,,,
We would like to arrange a racer payout, considered and had sponsors offer year end gift certificates, ect... but that adds alot of heated competition and arguing and will also bring in ALOT of "ringers". This has been discussed at many meetings between challenge staff and we do not see a way to avoid the problems the other challenges have faced in the past... so, this is still PURELY for fun, trophies and bragging rights!
Just FYI...
The track did have a banquet dinner for the points winner and runner up and also stepped up last year and gave a "Gold Card" to the points champion of each class. The card allowed unlimited free entry for almost any event for the 2008 year... but the bonus card will remain an option of the track and the new management to issue and is NOT related to anything we control

Well, that is what we have in the works so far...
Lets hear from you guys and gals, what would you like to see for the 2009 year
