2016 Ford GT with a V-6

looks badass:rock::burnout:

Looks great. I wonder if performance will be able to be enhanced much over the 600 they are squeezing out.

I've seen a few reports saying over 600 not just 600. The new raptor debuted too, 500lbs lighter with an ecoboost supposedly putting out more than the 6.2 was.

It's a sick looking car!! Will be interesting with what it can do! I'm sure it will go good, it's just the sound of putting a V6 in a Ford GT sounds wrong! They should have used a differnt name for it!

Are you guys kidding? Now I'm not saying I agree with them, and I surely would have loved to see a V-8 in it, I love V-8s and V-10s as much as all of you guys, but have you guys seen the Nissan GT-R lately.... As much as I despise that car, can't stand it, I can recognize that it has potential to beat almost anything including turbo vipers. I absolutely hate that car but I totally respect it. Those little rice boxes are pushing 2000 WHP! I'm positive the GT, with a twin turbo 6, has just as much potential, and its mid engine.

V6? Thumbs down!

Gorgeous looking though. Reminds me of those Ridge Racer cars on that video game.

Sexy.

Your FORD insider just entered the conversation.
Ford has been testing there 3.5 ecoboost program at Daytona for a while now.
They made 750 horsepower with the little V6 and ran 224 mph.
I hear the power to weight ratio is gonna be insane and the cars drag coefficient will be second to none.
I read on the ford motorsports website that the new 2017 Ford GT Supercar will have 650 horsepower when it hits the dealership.
This car is drop dead gorgeous.

We probably need to get used to the V6 idea. According to some posts over over on the VOA, Ford will eliminate all V8's from their passenger car/light duty truck line up by 2018, and other manufactures will follow by 2020.

there has been talk last few years that the V6 will be the engine of the future.
seems like turbos would be a natural set up.

there was a little turbo V6 in a Buick a few years back, if memory serves:dontknow::D:burnout::rock:

I like it......It looks like they crossbred a Lotus with an NSX (in the new look). 600 ponies is awesome, but it just doesn't seem right without the V8.

You can get an all electric Tesla with a faster 0-60 than the Hellcat around the same price if not cheaper with all the price gouging going on, so irrelevant of what we all may think the future is coming "faster" than we think...................and looks to be 4cyl's, V6's, lots of turbos and direct injection and combinations of all of them.

Being used to v10 then hearing v6 reminds me of the time my wife asked me to get a vasectami!! Any ways hasn't torrie been into tunning these ecoboost a lot lately

Just heard a video of this thing, sounds pretty damn mean just idling.....
