anodizing wheels

My dad was informed by his friend who is the lead mechanic on one of tony stewarts usac champ cars that anodizing is almost just as cheap and is the route to go instead of powdercoating.....any thoughts or suggestions....
 
I have no Idea which would look better ---can you get pics for a comparison....
 
On a somewhat related topic I just had my curbed wheel repaired by a local company that repairs / powdercoats wheels. They did a great job! It looks brand new. I asked them about powdercoating all of my wheels black and they cautioned me not to. The guy told me there were long term durability issues with powdercoating wheels. He mentioned that it would scratch and chip easily. He could have made a few hundred bucks off of me but instead he was honest. If anyone lives in Western WA and the need their wheels repaired for curb rash / damage I highly recommend you check out Cascade Wheel in Lynnwood, WA. A bunch of honest guys that do good work.
