Trying to get an idea of who might be interested in a Denver & Bandimere GTG. A member from Wisconsin is headed this way and will be here during the latter part of July. Keep in mind, I am open to suggestions. Truckfest at Bandimere is Sunday, July 22. Fee to get in is $30.00. You get two practice runs and then eliminations begin. If you don't want to run down the 1/4 mile, you can enjoy watching the races. Dave(Bad Venom) will be there with his paxton equiped truck.
On Saturday, July 21, we could meet somewhere for breakfast/dinner/lunch. I thought about a cruise to the Casino's at Blackhawk for a few hours. Blackhawk is about an hour west of Denver. If anyone is interested, post up and give us some idea"s.
 
like the idea count me in. trk should be ready by then if not will just take the H3. just hate the heat sitting at the track all day. but figure something out.
 
Like I've mentioned to Broke, I'll be at the race, not sure about saturday. I'm trying to get "UDLUZ" to bring his truck up as well from Cheyenne Wells. It sounds like he's gonna drive to denver with me the saturday before the event.

This will likely be my first event with the new tires and wheels. Too bad I'll only get a min of 2 runs to learn the truck.

I'll try and give you guys some long term weather forecasts when I return to work, updating every few days. I'm looking to get an idea of what the density alt will be.
 
Hi guys, I'm the cheesehead from Wi. who is coming out to Mile Hi in July. Will be out there 14th-23rd Going to Mile High Nats on Sun-15th, my sons talked me into staying for Truckfest on 22nd, will be visiting friends, making new ones, rest of time there. look forward to meeting up with whomever can get together for a barley pop or two. Have an 05 RC, blk, currently a virgin, but we all know that will not last!! c-ya's Bob Gallert

Cant wait to meet ya. There should be at least 2 of us (myself and hopefully StanSRT10) with some mildly/wildly modded reg cabs. Altitude is a killer out here for racing.
 
I might be able to make it. I have some plans up in the air during those dates.
 
Know all about the air in Denver, lived there from '79-'97, my 3 sons still live in Brighton- Thornton area. My youngest has a Lightning(WHERE DID GO WRONG?) that he runs at Brandimere occasionally. He's a good kid, just not my choice of vehicle. be good to meet you & Stan(?) hopefully some more will chime in & we can get a bunch of trux.
 
Ok guys, I may change my mind. I've already spent money for 2 days of road racing with NASA. This was during April (right after my trip to PBJ) but a snow storm cancelled the event. I need to spend it and this event would be the same price.

NASA will be in Pueblo the same weekend as Bandimere. I'd really like to see how my new power and suspension mods react on a road coarse and I now have a video camera so you all can watch me pass those stinkin slow cars :)

Anyway, I have yet to do any road racing this year and I'm kinda itchin to go. Theres probably 15-20 cars in HPDE3 that I'd be on the track with so I'm thinking its gonna be great. Plus, a few guys are asking "where's the red truck been this year".

So, I may do Pueblo that weekend then do a test n tune at Bandimere that Wednesday (following that race weekend). I'd get more then 2 runs in and it would cost less as well as have a bit cooler air.

Just a heads up in case anyone cares. Its a tough call but I'd like to kinda race some other guys...it would keep me in the mood of holding on to the truck :)

newmexicoviper, if you cant make bandimere stop by the track in pueblo. Not sure if you're into road racing but perhaps after seeing my truck on the track you will be :) Let me know, I'm sure I could take you out for a few laps.
 
Its not looking good for me making it either...truck might not be ready till the next weekend. :(
 
Just found out I can drag race at Pueblo friday night (I'll be heading down there anyway for weekend racing), road race saturday and sunday at Pueblo (same facility). Saw that bandimere wont have test n tune night the following wednesday so I'll at least get some in at Pueblo.

Note to self, load up on methanol :)

I'm game. Not positive if we have anything going on, but should be able to sneak away for a bit at least one of the days.

Just bringing this back to the top just in case some local members didn't see the event. This coming weekend, 21 and 22 July.
 
Sorry guys not going to be able to make it. I am going to the county car show this weekend. They have a Friday night cruise through downtown and then park all the cars and have a street dance thing with a bunch of other events too. Satuday night they are having radar drags at the airport and hopefully I can break 100. Maybe I can talk the guys into letting me go a half mile or more. The runway is 8000'+. But I am sure if they let me do it there will be someone there faster than me and want to do it also. I see that being a little bit of a liabililty issue.

But I will defiantly get some pics and maybe some video if I can figure out how to get it on my confuser.:rock:
