Engine knock/tick normal?

So my engine has a constant loud tick warm and cold.

Almost sounds like a knock very noticeable goes away with some throttle

Very noticeable standing next to truck even with hood closed

Doesn't sound like piston slap but could be possible I'm not familiar with these engine at all

Manifold leak maybe?

I'm going to try switching oil to 15-40
