Engine using oil wtf???

I have a 2004 rc and it's using oil not leaking or smoking. But bout 6qts in a 5000 mile oil change cycle. I have aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake that's it. Is this normal or any ideas?? Help.

Is any blowing out the breather tube into the air box?
Also check the oil cooler hoses on the right front of the engine.

Some of these engines have been known to use oil. A quart every 1000 miles seems horrendous, but might be "normal" according to Dodge.

No leaks that I can see

You can pull the plugs to see if they look like a Hershey's Kiss. That will show if it's burning oil. Keep track of which cylinder they came out of.

Oil /engine treatment next oil change......and maybe go with a thicker grade....mine drank oil....ran well no leaks....
