I am planning on buying this detector this week and was wondering if any of you guys have this new Escort model, it has got fantastic reviews from what I have dug up, but before spending 500$, I may need a coulple good reviews from someone who has one here...

I love my 8500 xd . It has saved me many times and seems to really reach out there. The GPS feature would cut down on the annoyance factor that all detectors suffer from. The 8500 is my first upscale detector and I love it , if the 9500 is better I say its worth the money .
