Got a question, Ronnie. What brand would you recommend for the Shift Kit? I've found a few different brands, not sure which would be better.Hang in there.
Money comes and goes but priorities are priorities.
I'm fairly certain we've all been there.

i see myself more of ... a futurist as I can always tell you what will happen tomorrowIt's 11:21 AM (Tomorrow) is Wellington NZ right now.
I guess that means you will always be nearly a day older than I am.
What I can tell you is the answer to the meaning of life is....42Ok great.
Would you mind sending me all the winning lottery numbers??
Yep, I was looking at TransGo, so I would go with that kit. Reasoning, more of a solid shift, and from what I've read, it helps with longevity of the clutches, and other parts. Is that a correct statement?I didn't use one as the guy that built my 48RE does his own valve body modifications.
Being fully aware that doesn't answer your question, I'd ask first why you think you need/want one and secondly- you should be fine with a Transgo or other name brand.
I've used Transgo shift kits in various applications since the early 1970s.

I was going to do them up till I strip them and back them off half a turn. Old bush mechanic trick.YAAAAAAAAAY!!!
Someone didn't tighten them enough in the first place, I'd guess, as they aren't really known for backing off out of the blue.
