Hood insulator?

I've noticed some trucks have an insulator under the hood and some don't. Did some come without insulators? Mine doesn't have one.

Anybody with one of the new fiberglass hoods don't have one either ... No big deal .....

Some people remove them because they sag over time.

Unless you add extra mounts and clean regulary you are better off just to rip it off..

mines sagging will go in the trash when i get to work on it.

Mine sagged seriously...and getting a new one is impossible...

Now about the heat insulator on the truck, I bought a new one from Dodge and painted the Viper Powered indention.

My next venture will be to remove it, and have someone repaint the underside of the hood and add some art work.

Dodge replaced mine at no charge after it began to sag...i did as Prof did, and painted the Viper logo.

The insulator should help preserve the hood's paint job a bit longer too

Dodge replaced mine about a year ago..now it is sagging and frayng again...I would just remove it if I wasnt getting a hood from Stinker..
