So not much good news for the day. Got there at 10:15 in the morning, started switching the tires, but since we only had one helmet to share I told my daughter to run first. while she was in the staging lanes , about 11: 45 there was a bad wreck, pro mod style car hit the wall and rolled three times, so the track was down for nearly an hour. my daughter finally got to run at 12:45. I got in line then and didn't get to run till 2:45. over 300 cars showed up for their first saturday race of the year. I will never go back there again. That being said , the starting line was pretty good. I had a 1.58 60' and ended with a 7.26 @98.07. I only got one more pass and on that run it would not go into 3rd...possibly driver error , any way I just coasted to the finish line and still beat a new 5.0 Mustang on E85. Mine 7.672 @83.54 to his 7.71 @ 93.09, and I had .126 advantage on the reaction time, so about a car and a half at the end. The first race was against a newer C7 Corvette and My 7.26 beat his 8.39 @87.76. Have a cell phone video to post later, SRT Brad was not able to be there. So no more racing for me in the Los Angeles area, too many people and too long of delays. I waill wait for Famoso to open up or I may even travel to Sacramento for a go. As a note, on my first pass the engine was cool as I moved toward the burn out box, but before I could do the burn out they found debree on the track and stopped us, since I have the shield on my front for aerodynamics, I sat ther for over 10 minutes waiting and the engine temps went over 200, I was pissed, so the run against the corvette was with a dead hot engine....
