Dodge did put a V-10 in that model truck but it's NOT the Viper V-10. It's an iron block and I think it's rated about 300hp. I'll have to look that up. Without pictures of the engine I can't tell.

I had one a 99. 305hp 450lbs tq, cast Iron V10. thats where the Idea for the viper motor came from. I traded it with 34,000 miles for a stick shift Hemi 2500 in 2003. was a good truck, never had any problems with it and back then it had as much tourque as the disiel's but was alot quieter. I got 10mpg in the city and 14 on the highway.
