I'll try to make this event.

If I do, I'll come on Thursday so I can attend the Barrett Jackson auction on Friday.

Cool. But chit! Barret Jackson is that weekend. We better start thinking on hotel rooms. It might be slim pickins for rooms. I know I will need one. I have a friend from work that lives in Phoenix. But I am not sure if he will be on days off for me to stay at his house.

This is a Mopar Only show/shine/race... your guy keith is free to come and spectate... but not participate in the cruz, racing, and show/shine... if we let one in... and show favortism.. then we have to let them all in....and that ruins the idea of it being a "Mopar ONLY" show... sorry...

Yes, the track will be closed to the "general public", except unless they bring a Mopar, the gates will only allow MOPARS into the staging/show area, everyone else will be directed over to general parking...
 
I think we need to come up with some classes for the show and racing, here are my ideas:


Show:

Best in Show Truck
Best in Show Car

Racing:

Best Time Truck
Best Time Car
Best Burnout Truck
Best Burnout Car

Feel free to add your own, and once we come up with a solid list, we can talk about making plaques and/or certifs for the winners.. would be a little money up-front, but we can recover those costs from the entrance fees at the show/races.

I have a place that I work with for getting a good deal on awards like this that is pretty reasonable.

I had about 2hr meeting tonight with Butch Warner (Track Manager), and they are behind this deal the whole way.

He has some contacts with the Nostalgia Funny cars, and going to see what it would take to get them to bring a 8x8 set of cars with eliminations on saturday, and finals on sunday.

He is also providing me some contacts with Earnhardt Dodge, he has talked to him and they are interested in doing some sort of sponsoring of the event, I will have the contact info sometime this week.

So lets start hunkering down here guys and pulling in the sponsors for event.. :D
