Anybody know why we have an oil cooler? the entire block and oil pan is aluminium . tlhe cooler actually has coolant running to it. is the coolant cooler than outside? hmm... This cooler seems pretty small for 9 quarts of oil! food for thought. maybe it is an oil heater? maybe we should just elliminate it completely

it's really more of an exchanger than a bona fide cooler... oil circulates through there and the air from the front of the truck keeps that exchanger cool...

that's how i understand it...
