Was wondering what you all think about this. My take is I use the grey antiseize on everything unless it HAS to stay tight....then locktite red/blu for everthing else. Some say locktite acts like antiseize, why not just use it instead. These motors generate heat and no one wants anything to get lose.

Thoughts?

I use anti seize when threading steel into aluminum, or when I know I am going to be taking something apart again (spring hanger bolts when sorting out suspension. The only time I ever use locktight is on scope basis that I want permanently attached to the receiver.

I would NOT use locktite on any engine bolts......

loctite should only be used in very specific circumstances and usually its outlined/called for in the service manual. Properly cleaned/prepped bolts torqued to spec should remain 'bolted'. Anti seize is for when you have dissimilar metals.

I only use Loctite on engine assembly or flexplate/flywheel installation.
