Mega Mopar Action Series presents Mopars at the Motorplex May 19, 2012

Mega Mopar Action Series to Host Four National Events in 2012
begining with
MOPARS At The Motorplex 2012

Mega Mopar Action Series to Host Four National Events in 2012 | Texas Motorplex

Jan. 12, 2012 – Texas Motorplex will officially launch the inaugural event in the Mega Mopar Action Series on Saturday, May 19.
The new series, operated by the same group of national event tracks that manage the Super Chevy Show and Fun Ford Weekend series events, will feature the popular format of drag racing, car show, and swap meet attractions for fans of Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth vehicles.

The series will host four events during the 2012 season beginning in Dallas, then moving to Denver at Bandimere Speedway (Sunday, June 3), followed by a stop one week later at Maple Grove Raceway just outside Reading, PA (Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10), and completing the 2012 tour at Virginia Motorsports Park in late September (Saturday and Sunday, September 22-23).

The series is planned to double or triple the number of events in 2013, potentially equaling the number of Super Chevy Shows and Fun Ford Weekend events, each currently hosting a 12-event national tour.

The popular Mopar Action magazine plays a role in the series, by providing its readers insight to upcoming attractions at the events, as well as providing post-event results for the drag racing and car show classes, as well as capturing images of the Mopar experience.

“We had the opportunity to work with Lex Dudas at Maple Grove Raceway in 2011 to put on a Mopar Action branded event, which was a great success,†said Mopar Action’s Advertising Director, Brett Underwood. “The opportunity to work with more of the national caliber tracks to operate a series tied to the publication is very exciting for our readers and advertisers.â€

All of the tracks hosting Mega Mopar Action series events have had successful Mopar shows in the past, and can now combine their expertise into a national format.

The Motorplex, which has hosted “Mopars at the Motorplex†for more than 5 years, will kick-off to the 2012 Mega Mopar Action Series this spring.

“Texas Motorplex has been fortunate to work with the Dallas Mopar Club and Cowtown Mopars Performance Team to help build a very strong event for Mopar fans in Texas and the south central region,†said Motorplex President and GM, Gabrielle Stevenson. “We are proud to host the first official event of the new series. It has been a pleasure to work with all of the tracks on our other series ventures featuring Chevrolet and Ford products and to compliment it with a Mopar series makes a lot of sense to all of the automotive enthusiasts that visit our track throughout the year.â€

Car Clubs and sponsors wishing to learn more about the series can follow all of the series action at Mega Mopar Action or by contacting Forward Sports Marketing at (816) 246-8866.

what class would our trucks fit in. "basic" bolt ons, late model stock???? don't see that class

Probably most would fit in the Pro class.
What in previous years was called ET Eliminator.
12.00 and slower dial in. bracket style
Footbrake, with .500 Full tree

Racers are handicapped at the start by a staggered tree based on their dial in, so he who gets the the finish line first without going faster than their dial in or red lighting wins, and moves on to the next round.
