need help in 1/8 mile drag

Just ran my first 1/8th mile drag at the Texas motor speedway Friday night.
My 2004 SRT 10 is a beast for sure but I cant get it to hook up on start.
I can't run the street div because its a 10 cyl and the limit is 8.
I have to run super car or warrior trucks which has unlimited modified.
The top end on my truck is incredible. If I could just get off the line a little better I could give these guys a better run.
Any tips on take off and anything I could do to it without spending a ton of money to modify it?
