while only using 5% more fuel.
Im thinking that the next spreadsheet could calculate how angry Justin is, based on the lunar cycle and barometric pressure.
232 @ 12.2 GPH= 19.02 HP per Gal/hrI cant wrap my head around this and need help.
We have started to tune diesel engines in tractors and I need to figure out how much better they are on fuel after tuned. Here are the specific details, can someone help me determine a formula to show how many percent better they are per HP?
Base Tune:
232 HP using 12.2 Gallons per hour of fuel
Mod Tune:
272 HP using 13.7 Gallons per hour of fuel.
Base Tune = .052586 gallons per hour per HP
Mod Tune = .050367 gallons per hour per HP
Mod tune uses 4.2198% less fuel per hour per HP
Mod tune uses 10.94891% more fuel per hour
Might be a stupid question but why would you tune a tractor? Wouldn't it just make more sense to buy a bigger tractor?
Yep.Are you sure about this 5%, I get 10.94891%
Yep.
HP - (GPH) - GPH Per HP - HP Increase - Decrease in GPH
232 12.2 232/12.2=0.053 n/a n/a
272 13.7 272/13.7=0.050 272/232=1.17 0.050/0.053=0.95
There is major advantages. The customer can buy the smallest HP tractor in the chassis size he needs and I simply retune it to whatever HP he needs. Of course keeping in mind the capacity of the engine, transmission, axles, etc.
Heres a example;
Fendt 822 - base price is $224,369.00
Fendt 828 - base price is $270,290.00
So the bigger model is $45,921.00 more money, I can turn a 822 into a 828 for $3000.00 of tuning.
Or if he already owns a model, for $3000 I tune it up, he saves fuel costs and gets more work accomplished in a day.
So any farmers out here that want there tractors, combines, swathers, etc tuned? I can do all brands as long as it is electronically controlled.
Gotcha, can you delete the emissions on them like the pickup trucks? Would guess you could get more efficiency that way too
Everyone is caught up on the numbers - I just want to see a tractor on a dyno!!!
ok ok sounds good, now the question is,,
Can you make my combine do 0-60 un under 5.0..
or can it run down a 1/4mile of corn in under 14 sec lol
How much for that mod??
Are you sure about this 5%, I get 10.94891%
Yes you would be correct...caveman is like a serial killer he prays on your weaknesses..he knew i wouldnt do the math...lol
