I've never seen anyone instal their roll control switch in the aux outlet location before. I've had my kit for a few years and never hooked it up because I didn't want to stare at a switch or wires while I was driving but I still wanted it easily accessible. Best of both worlds, plenty of clearance and the outlet goes up and down just as smoothly. Plus I used the 12 volt switched and ground that were already their for the outlet. Only downside is that I had to gut the outlet but I never used it anyway being there is another one 5 inches away above it.
