I have owned a number of Mopars over the years.
67' Cuda Notchback with mods from Dick Landys shop. 360 with B&M's first generation supercharger and their low profile fuel injection, all under the hood.
Next was a 70' Road Runner 440-6 Air Grabber Hurst 4spd
Then a 97' Ram 4wd with a Kenne Bel, I still have this truck with a different drivetrain.
Then an 05' SRT-10 QC
Then a 06' Ram 2500 Mega Cab, diesel, larger turbo, 500 HP and 37's
I'm going to soon purchase an 05-06' SRT-10 QC. I like the 4 door truck, huge brakes and handling of the Viper trucks.
My 97' is running a 5.2 Magnum race block, that is now a 7.2. It has all the good stuff along with 2- Turbonetics T60 turbos. It has been tuned by Gil at Shelby and put down 707/695 on 34" AT tires running through a billet 48RE and a transfer case.
I am going to move the engine and trans into the Viper truck, I guess making it a RAM SRT-8
Gil is going to add water meth along with another 4-6 lbs while still keeping it on 91 octane.
I would like to run some 20" rims and large 50 series tires that match the height of the factory 22's. Will a 20" rim clear the brake calipers on these trucks?
Thanks
