Hello everyone....new to the site, and love it! Lots of good info, but haven't been able to find any info on my current problem. Hope you guys can help...thanks in advance.
I am having an occasional problem with high idle...happens mostly when I am slowing down after normal driving...after mashing in clutch and/or putting tranny in neutral, instead of dropping to the normal idle speed, it tends to hang around 1000 to 1500rpm. It seems to happen more when the AC and/or defrost is on. All gauge and temp readings are normal and no check engine lights. Throttle and cruise cables seem to be free moving and operating normally. I can usually tap the pedal and it will settle down. It is a minor, but very irritating problem. Has anyone ever had this problem?? Is this normal?? I've only had this truck about two months...don't know the previous history of the truck.
