Oil Pressure

Sounds a bit high when warmed up

95ish cold. 70ish hot with the oil pump by pass valve update

Around 75 cold. Once warm it's around 25 psi at idle and about 60 psi while driving.

about 80 PSI cold - 75 PSI when driving - and 25-40 PSI at idle

Cold im at 75-80psi .. idle warm im at 45-50psi and under load about 70-75

So whats soposed to be NORMAL oil presure at idle and under load..

if your running 15/50 or 20/50 your gonna get higher pressure due to the thickness of the oil. Mine is close to 90 during the summer when it is constant higher temps it drops around 75-90. Also your supercharged so you actually pressurize the block alittle more which will increase oil pressure. If your using thinner oil check your pressure sensor or like ZCx said, thats my next mod.

So is higher pressures good or bad????? Seems to be a big varience in oil pressures between trucks from idle to wot...

High pressure is better than low or no pressure. Now if your oil temp starts to rise and does not lower then you need to start looking into oil pump problems.
I know one thing if you spray brake clean or ether to clean around it, you will end up killing the pressure switch:p:eek: ask me how I know? what does the gauge read when you just turn the ignition on without starting your truck?
