I searched the forum and found
P1494-LEAK DETECTION PUMP SWITCH OR MECHANICAL FAULT - SRT10
so i guess I have to check the hoses at the location but also might have to replace the canister and such does anyone know the part(s) number so I can see what this problem is going to cost me? also got code 455 last week , i figure its the same problem. Thanks for the help:rock:

i'm getting the same code... and have been looking for a way to just eliminate the whole damn thing

More than likely its your Leak Detection Pump... pretty common for 04-05 trucks----p/n 4891416AB

I was getting the same code and noticed that I didn't have the hose hooked up on the bottom of my throttle body. Hooked it up and the code went away.

May I ask what and where a Leak Detection Pump is??

LDP is part of the emissions system, it test for leaks in the evap system. Its located on the cannsiter bracket in the front of the fuel tank

Yeah thats definatley not looking right

I pulled that code and had the dealer replace the stupid pump.

thats correct...there's not supposed to be anything attached to that... 90% of the time that code is the LDP pump.
