My plan is to add about 5 gallons of 116 octane to the last 1/4 tank of 92 octane.

My question is will this add safety to my tune, or am I just wasting $9.00 a gallon?

I am not trying to increase power as I know this requires the tune in order to get the benefit.

Thanks,
Dale

You just need to know if it is cat friendly (ie lead) High octane fuel wont hurt you,its a lot cleaner then lets say shell

Dont waste your money....just add a bottle of Lucas (or Torco) octane booster if you want to be safe though if your tune is good it wont be needed....the Lucas will increase octane 3 numbers when added to 10 gallons.....

Without a tune it would just be a waste of money. The highest octane I can fine that is unleaded is 104. Leaded gas will screw up your O 2 sensors.

Race gas usually has a different specific gravity than pump gas and can actually lean out your motor at wide open throttle.

As has been said will do nothing to increase power, don't wast the time or money.
