I have a 2006 R/C SRT 10 with nav and 6 disc in dash stock radio was wondering if anyone knows if I can hook up a aux jack so I can plug in my phone to stream music that way , ? thanks Dan
used search but couldn't find much info /back in 07 someone said Mopar sells something but did we even have cell and ipod s then ,stuff was just coming out
You can do a FM modulator, or there is a company I used with my 06 radio that modded it to play an ipod as well as video and a rear view camera.
It was several hundred dollars though. If your interested, I can see if I can find it.
There are several audio companies that make ways of putting aux ports. I have a complete aftermarket system in my truck but put a wired in FM modulator in my wifes car. Plugged into the power an ground wire and the antenna. Was less than $20 and less than an hour to install.
I managed to track down an old mopar ipod/aux module. It's been discontinued a while ago so they're hard to find. They plug into the back of the radio and trick it into thinking it's got satellite radio.
I have an '06 QC with REC navigation head unit and I use two adapters sold by Pac Audio, both of which were simple plug-and-play modules. I have never spliced a wire on my truck. One adapter plays/charges my iPod while the other offers 2 sets of RCA preamps + a remote turn-on lead for my aftermarket subwoofer amp. Visit their site, enter your truck info, and you'll find a myriad of options, most all of which are plug-and-play for the '06 CANbus wiring system. In fact, the model AAI-CHY may meet your needs perfectly. Good luck!
