Has anyone removed the rubber isolator pad from on top of the coil springs? Must be a damper for noise/harshness? What is it good for, a 3/4" drop? Probs if removed?

Problem is it will be noisy as HELL! its an insulator between spring and frame, not worth going to the effort, or putting up with the noise, jsut buy springs or cut a half coil off and inabout 3 weeks they will colapse some more to give ya a couple inches ddrop, but they aslo will not ride that great. and will eventually loose tension over time

Are there additional pads to add an 1" that can be placed on top or bottom?

Well if you want to add an inch you can go to dodge and order another insulator or lets see, it would be best if it was one piece.

You may be able to drop by a slavage yard and get one that is the same circumference.

Or you can cut your own, find a rubber mat , or jsut thick hard rubber and cut it out.

But be careful, you also dont want to put the spring out of the cup that holds it in place

I would suggest a thicker pad up top and a thinner stock size pad on the bottom.

does this help?

Do it right. Contact a spring shop, or Boomer and have them build a spring for you. If you add rubber pads you are just asking for problems.

As long as he doestn go crazzy with thickness he will be fine.

we did it numerous times especially on the the 2500 g series vans for noise, we used them on top and bottom to quieten down spring noise.

yes the correct way is to get a new spring , but both will work.:D
