as for towing with with a 04 srt reg cab i haven't tried with mine yet but next spring i will be using mine to tow my low budget race beater (440 powered1972 d100)on a pretty heavy duty 21 ft car trailer....won't be using 6th gear i don't think.....

You will not enjoy the process. It is just not designed to pull anything. The engineers will be holding their breath. Be very careful, for I fear you have no idea what you are about to do.

don't use 6th unless your goin downhill....with those 4.11's....

I would love to see a pic of that 72 truck. I got an old 77 truck myself. But mine is only a 340.

they tow just fine prof i pulled my 22ft centurion back from vegas over 500 miles over a 120 at times no worries they still are trucks!!!!!!
