tonneau cover removal

i need to remove the tonneau cover. it appears to be as simple as disengaging struts at the bed and then sliding cover laterally outward from hinges. is there more to this? i have a 2006 nightrunner qc and i want to haul my bike.

Not really, I have the same truck. Put some type of protection between the cab and the bed (towels, padding, something soft so it wont scratch your truck) where the tonneau rests. Once you remove the bolts from the hinges and open the cover with the struts attached, the bed has a tendency to move towards the rear window of the truck. The padding will help when re-installing the cover too. Or just place the cover on the truck and crawl in the bed to reinstall the bolts for the hinges before you reattach the struts. Have fun!
