My first was a brown 1979 Dodge Duster with a slant 6. Great car for a first one, lasted a long time for me.

Hey it was still a mopar. And the slant 6 was a great motor.

My first vehcile was a 66 Jeep Pick up with a Kaiser 327, 4 speed manual. I was always breaking something on it. It was a beater but I still love that truck. Some times parts were hard to find. It finally went to the grave when I couldn't find a bellhousing for it. I cracked it and didn't have any money to change out the drivetrain. Just wasn't worth the money too.

My first was a 1978 Buick LeSabre 4 door, my Dad bought it new and gave it to me for $50 in 1990. I found out years later the dealership offered him $25 on trade. It had a 403 and a 2 barrel for better economy. I think it got like 4 MPG...my, how things stay the same. I remember when it died... My Dad asked when was the last time I put oil in it, my reply will live on forever:

"Dad, it's a BUICK! It CAME with oil!"

I'll never live it down.

1965 Barracuda with a tired 273 and a 4spd. I got it for $100. Someone put drag bars on it and broke the little 7 1/4 rearend. 15 minutes of welding and it was back on the road. This is the only photo I have of it. I built the second one 25 years later as a tribute. It ran solid twelves.

1970 chevelle Blue 307 my father and I put a 400ci & th400 out of a 1972 Caprice in it was a nice car had 3 others since still have a 1970 SS I bought in 1980 it went the Drag car route soon after purchase where was Barrett/Jackson when I needed them, I still have a lot of fun with it

1977 Camaro Z-28. Last year of metal bumpers and first year to start the Z-28 up again after they stopped making them. I thought it would be worth something someday but that day has yet to come. Not too fast but broke the tires loose shifting to second gear (it was an auto).
