Whie -increasing in pitch at start up

I hear this whine at start up, used to happen every so often, now I hear it every start up.


the sound seems to be eminating from the shifter..

I heard mention it was the oil filter building up pressure.

Seems to happen pretty regular now, do I tighten the oil filter ?

I have the same noise thought it might be the fuel pump priming

Yeah I still haven't go this fixed, lol. I'm prob gonna take it to the dealership to see if it's gonna hurt anything, and diagnose exactly what it is and the cause. Just seems stupid that you use a non OEM oil filter and the engine starts whining at you. One guy asked me at the gas station if I had some sort of super charger or turbo and I just laughed.

One of my power/steering lines came loose ...leaked fluid all over the front valence
When they retighten the fitting there must have been some air in the line because I got that same sound at start-up.
It did go away but it took some time. Outside of bleeding your system not much can be done :argh: :dontknow:
