A way to figure out what it takes to and where to get it to put a 400 turbo transmission or a 4l80 on to our trucks. It can't be that darn hard, has anyone done this yet, i would love ether one w a gearvender unit on it, more hp and tork w the gearvender...Plus i would love the feel of a good stout tranny!!Come on lets figure this out!!!!:dontknow: :argh:

I sent you a PM. Carlwalski changed a RC to a 4l80e. Dom (505fastest), FstJack, and myself have done TH400's, mine with a gearvendors behind it. I recommend Mike's Transmission in Cali for the TH400, he's done mine, Dom's, and Jack's.

You need a custom bellhousing, crossmember, driveshaft, TV cable and linkage setup a strong ass bulletproof trans and a tq converter.

maybe 12-15?

Fabrication of new crossmember
New driveshaft
Shifter plus building console to hold it
Gearvendors 2k

Not cheap but definitely the way to go for really high hp builds.

alot of the cost can be reduced at the tranny...

You can get a used 4l80e outta wrecked truck for 1-2k bucks..

These trans including the th400 easily can put up with 500-600 in stock form..
