you can remove the secondary cats without a cel, but i didn't notice much of a change when i originally did it..... :(

if you're also thinking of changing the fronts to hi-flows, you still shouldn't have a cel problem.... you'd probably be better off with replacement midpipes from one of our vendors (so you can swap the stock mids back in if needed) or better yet - cattless mids (will need mechanical sims added to your back o2 sensors, then)....... another thing to consider is will your muffler shop even touch this cats issue for ya, most won't....

for me, swapping the stock mids was a pain in the ass...... i went LT headers with shorter (easier to remove) mids & catback all from B&B with flanges added.....

get rid of all the stock cats and get a set of mids with the high flows (they have bungs welded in place for the sensors) i have the B&B,they required a little custom fitting to the stock manifold and magnaflow cat-back,but sound GREAT!

I just installed the JMB mids with the 3" adapter for RC SRT-10s. They were easy to install (the originals were a bitch to get out). They come with mechanical sims and need NO custom fitting if you stay with the 2 1/2" reducer at the muffler. The 3" fitting into the muffler requires a little of the pipe going into the muffler to be cut. It tood 30 seconds with a cordless sawsall. It was worth every penny of $400.00 I spent plus I still have the original pipes. Great sound, great power. NO Check Engine Lights (CEL).

i just installed ,shorty headers and jbm mids with high flows on them no cell ,
it does not sound any louder except it has a deeper tone to it ,,,and the stock crap was like fighting with my first exwife (aka non stop beatch ) to get out
thats also why i trader her in for a younger model:rock:
the exwife that is not the beast
