OK, guys to clear it up a bit I am going to make a post and someone may ask to make it a sticky, but as a painter in the Automotive Collision industry I have all these paint codes and could post what they equal as far as color if Shaggy or a mod will make it permanent for all to future reference.

PX8 = Regular Black Clearcoat

PXR = Brilliant Black Clearcoat - This is the one appearing to have multiple color metallic in it which looks great in the sunlight or street lighting but kinda dusty looking on a cloudy, sunless day. The formula actually has a new pearl to the paint industry call Xyrillic Pearl. It has the ability to flop/shift colors as well as pop a whole lot more than plain old metallic aluminum particles.

PR4 = Poppy Red - This is the color you find on the majority of Viper Rams, the plain Bright Red.

PRH = Inferno Red - This is the Pearl Red available on 06 Model Viper Rams. Absolutley stunning color in the sunlight, comparable to a true Candy Red.

PDM = Mineral Grey - This is the highly sought after color as fewer were made and only available in the 2006 year model as well. Very Stealthy looking with the right wheel combo.

PW7 = Commemorative White/Regular white. This white has been a general use white for Chrysler vehicles for decades and the formula has rarely changed.

PB5 = Viper Blue/VCA Blue/CE Blue - This is the beautiful Blue pearl coat that is found on the Viper cars as well as the Viper Ram. Another beautiful color in the sunlight as the pearl shifts from a blue/purple hue.

PS2 = Bright Silver - Another popular color used on the Viper Rams and also a general Silver used amongst the Chrysler lineup for many years prior the SRT10 Ram as well.

PYH = Yellow Fever/Solar Yellow = A bright Yellow reserved for a select number of Chrylser vehicles and an even rarer batch of Viper Rams.

If there are any colors I missed or anyone having info from there door sticker to prove another code used, I would be glad to update this info with help of a mod.

Thanks guys for all the info you have produced and hopefully this helps many get the correct touch-up paint for those rock chips.;)

PSB was also used and the formula is the same as PS2. Many colors have a couple different codes to them from year to year and are still the same color.

My appologies, my paint codes are for RAM SRT-10's only I did not and have not tracked paint codes for any other vehicle made by dodge (or chrysler) other than VIPERS, sorry.

Please forgive me

isnt it Brilliant Black Pearlcoat instead of Clearcoat ?

Actually they all are clearcoat. Some even Chrysler may name it Brilliant Black Pearlcoat, but basically the pearl is in the basecoat with a normal clearcoat over the top. The use of Xyrillic pearl is what gives it the "POP" appearing to have the pearl in the clearcoat. Basically the clearcoat Magnifies the basecoat ingredients.

I was told PWE is the blue stripe on the commemorative edition truck.....not PB5 ?? anyone know for sure...????

with a CE vin number I can confirm.

CE Vin#

3D7HA16H25G858839

Even with the vin, it appears Chrysler does not list the paint color code in their system.

PWE is an older white. PW7 should be the white on the CE if not mistaken. Door tag will help possibly. Should be PBE and not PB5 guess I made an error on that. Same color was used from 96'-13' Viper GTS Blue. PB5 is another beautiful blue but not used on Vipers. It's Electric Blue.

like when i had my 05 Daytona, on the truck it was called Go-Mango but on the Neon (i think) or Caliber it was called Tangerine Pearl. when i ordered a can to spray my phone case it said Tangerine Pearl on it but came out as Go Mango

you would think that they would make things simpler on themselves and call it one name

My VCA says PB5 on the door sticker. Not sure if the CE is the same :dontknow:

just saw a 2016 Dodge Charger, Rallye with a beautiful red metallic paint. beautiful.

looks like the flakes are red also.

it shows to have paint code "PRY".

is the Viper Ram Inferno Red, code PRH, a metallic paint???
