F1 stage 3 clutch. anyone used these?

I don't want for this to come across disappointing. But when it comes to something that takes a lot of wear and abuse, a trusted brand name that's had good feedback is where it matters. Besides, you get what you pay for. And from what I read, F1 is basically OEM grade if not less than. If you're looking for replacing stock, stick with what people know and trust. And I think SPEC is what we like. Centerforce is mixed. Then there's Mcleod and ClutchMasters (I think ACT)

SPEC over Centerforce any day!

i understand. but also what i understand is that a clutch isnt rocket science. another company can easily make just as good of a clutch as someone else. this is true for almost any product. im not saying this clutch is better or worse than any other clutch. thats the information im trying to gain. if a few people have had good results with it why not try it out. what im trying to figure out is if anyone has used this clutch. if so. was it any good? how did it hold up? why would you pay 600 for a clutch if you could get it for less than half?

My post wasn't to inform you of statistics or reviews. Just what I chose to do because I've come across those exact clutches on eBay which have been on there for some time now. And I've done so much research extensively, on different brands - and break-in period requirements - sometimes it doesn't even matter, and parts find their way around your vehicle.

Just giving you an idea. Sharing. To me, I'd rather pay more for what works than take a gamble and pay less. I'll leave your question alone. :D

a clutch can be "rocket science"

a clutch can be "rocket science"

LOL:p. i know. just trying to prove a point that you dont nessesarily have to be Centerforce or Spec to make a decent clutch...or maybe you have to...thats all im trying to find out.

wait til one of those rivets comes loose in the clutch disc, ruins your flywheel, and chews up what's left of the friction material...

i'm a pessimist....

and i just put in a spec and i love it...;)

And explodes coming through the floor taking off a foot. ;)

Clutches can be "rocket science", just talk to any of the Pro racers.

not sure on those, I have heard that luke clutches were also the makes of the oem if not mistaken and luke also made the ones you are looking at, but thats not 100% just what I have heard bo
