Well guys, after receiving a crap tranny from a member (came from a boosted 10 that loved 60-160 racing apparently, no 5th at all and syncs in 6th shot), I bought Aaron's(358CIhd) extra tranny and it works great! Luckily the stars aligned and he was coming to Texas from New Mexico on other business and brought the tranny to me. Met him about an hour and a half from here at 10:30 Saturday night. Spent a bit BS'n and watching him attempt to load a 50ft car hauler with an 1100HP Rustang and a wicked Razor loaded already, ON TOP OF ANOTHER 50 FT. TRAILER? lol, Had to see this shtuff!:confused::(:eek::aetsch:
Luckily it wouldn't work cause I worried about bridges and whatnot, not to mention what our STATE TROOPERS may have thought.

Aaron, was nice to meet another fine member of oour Forum although you may be a Ford nut:elefant: Thanks again for your help and glad I didn't have to fly to New Mexico to chase down another bad seller.;) Hope you got back safe and take care of that baby girl/navigator.:D
 
that blows but it sounds like it's time to get the crapped out tranny "built" and ready for this one to go out!

It was actually a Viper Car tranny, so I may do that or have it built and sell it to one of those guys:dontknow: Very few differences but the gears cut and alloy of steel are different for sure as well as a balancer/damper on the tailshaft of the truck unit. I'll tell you, 6th you can do without for the most part, but you have to F'n have 5th with these trucks for sure!:rock:
Also this one has 18K miles so hopefully it's good for a long ass time!

Damn that was quick. Hope it works out for you.
 
Yup!! If anyone is looking to get their clutch swapped, I can do it blindfolded now:D I have removed and installed the T56's in my 10 3 times now! Have muscles I didn't know could hurt:dontknow:

If thats the case how about i fly you here to me and we do a t56 swap in my qc:rock:
 
Let us know how that tranny works out for you, I'll have you're 48re to keep as a spare. Gonna text Aaron now and make sure he got home ok, he told me somebody hit his truck and took off at a gas station, nothing major and he and his little girl were ok.
 
Scott, Glad u got it in and it worked well...Told ya you didn't have to worry my friend :)

Now Rick will have a backup

Had issues with my truck coming home and super high winds over 80mph on I-40 crazy...tood me an extra day but the little one and I made it safely!
 
Glad t hear you made it back safely. If you're ever in the neighborhood give me a shout. Enjoy your new Fasttang!lol
