Looking for ideas on a direction to go with a Red truck... I usually prescribe to the "less is more" train of thought and usually leave things pretty stock appearing, but then again Im driven to set it apart...

I have thought about the black on red very hard and love the idea, of course, its been done... and I dont want to do anything to detract from the overall value too much... I am drawn to black out the grill and maybe black internal headlights, but then will that clash if the wheels stay stock?.... :dontknow:

Just hungry to throw ideas around on where to take the truck, if anywhere.

Leave it alone?...
Black it out?...
Color match mirrors, handles, grill bars?...
Find a red theme?...

Here are some pics of how the truck looks as of today... Thoughts?

i like the black and red. Dans truck has black wheels and looks sick. Hank has a lot of black on his red truck and it also looks awesome

i'm a little partial;)

start with the grill and lights, imo...if you do a lot at once, its harder to go back and redo...but a little here and there, and you'll start to flow in the direction you want to go...and if you have to redo, it's not half a truck...

Something a little this and that ..... Like Dan said started out now moving towards something ??? ... Here's a couple pics .

Dan, Jim, I love the way both of your trucks look. Excellent job gentleman! I allmost bought a red 10 before the Night Runner. ;)

all advise that has been given is excellent.

your startin out with a beautiful beast. i would put yours right there with Dan's & Jim's.:rock::rock:

there are many fine examples here & with that photochoppy thingie, you can get ideas ya like & try them out first.

to me the number 1 rule is, do what makes you happy & you like.

these are works in progress, nothing set in stone:rock:

I love the red backed wheels. ^^

Yes, I have a friend that does painting on the side in his shop that done them for me. In the end I though all of the inserts should have been done but just the pie shaped ones looked good:rock:

I don't have pics because after I finish my engine mods she will be getting a new "color"...

Right now my QC is red with color matched mirrors, door handles, tailgate handle, and license plate lights. My grill is black powder coated screen. Wheels are stock. The stock wheels will go with anything. I hate black rims, just not my thing. If you worry about brake dust, just go ceramic and wash them once a week...

Good luck... If I can get a nice day I'll try to take some pics of my girl before she gets a makeover :)

My best
