Anyone have a steering rack laying around? I need the longer of the two steel lines that run from the valve to the cylinder.

The sooner the better too, I need this leak fixed by next Friday night.

Tyler wouldn't you be able to make it out of a brake line or maybe get one from a hemi ram? I don't know if they are the same Joe and me looked at mine today and it looks like a brake line. I don't know if they have iso or a standard double flare or have an O ring. If a regular ram one will work I could probably get one for you.

i just replaced them both, went to Hosepower and had them make me them out of high pressure hose. They brazed a flare fitting to the existing one to make it a flare type connection. Had the same done to the cooling fan lines when I changed over to electric fan.

Its a odd fitting that I really havent ever dealt with yet. It does look like a brake line, but I dont really know what kind of flare it uses. Then it also uses a teflon seal that seals each end. The crappy part is the dang teflon seals are a one time use deal, and you cannot buy them seperate. I had to buy the entire rack seal kit for $138 and now I think I will have to buy it again. I am going to see if the wreckers in Lacombe have any lines which Im sure they will.

I considered changing them to a different style similar to what you have done, but the problem is I dont have time to do that right now. I would have liked to remove the rack, cut the bungs off of the cylinder and braze on AN fittings, then have the valve fitting bores machine to accept a ORB fitting. This time of year for me is crazy and I wont be able to get that done anytime soon.
