On the stock throttle body there is a vacuum line on the bottom. Can someone tell me what vacuum line is supposed to be connected to it because i can fill the fitting underneither my throttle body but nothing is connected to it.....

Also i have this clip that looks like the 02 sensor plug and even has yellow piece inside it like the 02 sensor plug but its a 4 wire clip with only 3 wires in it and its near the power steering pump. See pix below:

Mine does not appear to have that plug :dontknow: Mine has the 1 on the Tstat , under the PS , and the one under the cables in the manifold... The vaccum hose under the manifold goes a due hicky under the fuse panel I believe has something to do with leak detection device pump/switch for emmission control ???

Correction on the elec. plug ---after closer inspection with my glasses on ,,, it appears that one goes to a sensor on the power steering hose just behind the resevior.

Mine is plugged in under the power steering pump on the small hose. Is there another sensor on the top of the power steering pump where the main line is?

Could you snap a couple pics if its not to much to ask:eek:

It is not the one under the PS .... it is in the hose directly behind the PS resevoir,,,, there is a sending unit/sensor in the hose itself. I will see what I can do about a pic.

Cell pic sucks but may help.

yeah thats the one on the bottom which i have but is there anything on the top near where you fill up the resorvor?

That one is not the one I have at the bottom of the reservoir, it is closer to the mid point behind the reservoir .

Could the vacume line be a coolant line? I know that throttle bodies come with a coolant line to keep it from freezing over in colder weather. Chances are I am completely wrong, but thought I'd share.

Here you go.

Funny but they do not! They were notorious on GM TBs to prevent sticking under cold conditions due to the alum expansion and contraction. Been on the GM sports cars since about 86' and still used them on the LS1/LS6;)

PERFECT!!! I believe that plug is the number 4 which goes to the power steering line. Since this motor didnt come in my truck and i had no p/s lines so i had some made and i just dont have that sensor. Im guessin it just controls line pressure somehow or reads temp, but i dont think its needed. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!

Line under t-body ties into the canister system that is tied to the fuel tank. I belive it is there to burn vapors from the fuel system.
