I will be drilling the hole for the meth nozzle today and wanted some advice on placement. Read tons of stuff about it but didn't see any mention of placement when a nitrous nozzle was present. I enclosed a pic of where my nitrous nozzle is. Where do you guys think would be the best place for the meth nozzle?

I know it should be before the IAT sensor and was thinking of putting it a couple inches behind the nitrous nozzle (as in to the left of the nitrous nozzle in the pic). Think that's a good spot?

Here is the pic...

I sure hope that engine is built properly!! It will be a tuning nightmare!

Tim, I have mine about two inches behind where you have ur NOS nozzles. Works great for me.

That's about where I was thinking. Like kinda close to the rubber connector.

Getting closer..I just finished mounting my dual 14" fans on aluminum which is attached to the stock shroud and dropped the pipe off at the welder to have the BOV flange welded on. Should be able to plumb the whole intake track this weekend.

Where did you mount you meth pump? Drivers side somewhere under the washer tank?

Engine is forged, ported, cam'd, rockered, blown, sprayed and water/meth injected. Hopefully it will be running before the end of the year..but what do I know. I thought it would be running again before the end of last year lol.

Did you lower compression ratio to offset the boost? :) if so then why the meth?

I installed my pump on a custom bracket next to the driver side headlight for easy service.

Im guessing you dont plan on running over 6psi boost???:dontknow:

Hoping for 10lbs but we'll see where it ends up. I have a 7.5 inch lower pulley with the stock SC pulley but the heads and intake are ported so not sure where it will end up.

Thanks for the pics!! So the pump dosen't have to be lower than the washer tank? It doesn't loose prime or have a hard time pulling up the fluid?

Not necessarily. I going to be running stock compression and 10-12lbs.

OK,will be interesting on how your tunes work out,I was running 11PSI boost last year and my compression was bumped down to 9:2:1 and I noticed a slight amount of detonation in 3rd and 4th gear under load, just a heads up on something to keep an eye on,the detonation will be worse with stock compression.

What pulley sizes for the SC were you running, stock cam, stock paxton intercooler, any head work?

I really have no idea what to expect boost wise with the head work, cam and a 7.5 inch lower pulley. I have upgraded to a larger intercooler and will be running meth inj as well so hopefully that will keep the detonation at bay.

Yup, driver's side frame rail. Under the wash tank.

7" crank pulley, fully ported and polished heads, custom SC cam, custom oversized push rods,I had the ROE on last year with water/meth,fully built forged engine built to take 20 psi boost and a 250 shot of NOS,valve, springs, gaskets, head bolts, oversized wrist pins, the works was pretty much done.
I sold the ROE and am now modifying my Paxton I have on it now,and getting a custom monster intercooler fitted now, planning to have it tuned this spring after the snow all melts!
