Well I made the next addition to my Quad Cab and that's the 1 piece aluminum driveshaft!:rock: Still need to get the final weight, but I am guessing around 28 lbs compared to 42 lbs! That's one hell of a loss in rotational mass! There is also another 10 lbs. of total weight removed from the truck as the crossmember that once held the crappy carrier bearing is removed for clearance of this Monster Driveshaft! It makes 6th gear in my Manual tranny respond more like 5th gear! With the autos you can expect Crisper, Firmer shifts due to the lighter shaft, as well less throttle input to acheive the same acceleration! This shaft is able to withstand up to 1000 HP and over 1800 ft lbs torque:burnout: It has a torsional torque rating of 7200 ft. lbs.!
It consists of heavy duty U joints and a new tranny yoke as well as billet HSA High Strength Aluminum driveshaft yokes that are the same diameter
of 5 inches as the entire driveshaft! If you notice most are smaller 3 inch yokes and taper into the 5 inch shaft size. This is one size throughout the entire length of the driveshaft. I have made measurements on this as well as the normal Auto tranny version which will obviously be more popular of a mod.

50 people read this and only you have replied? Maybe the Quad Cab guys are happy with their current setups?

i done this mod at the beginning of the year, i can tell you that this is well worth the get, you can feel the difference in throttle response.

Again, nice meeting you bro and once again, your 10 is bad ass!
Thanks for serving our country as well mane. Are you going to the Truck Shootout in San Antonio since you are there already?:D:rock:

Very nice. I didnt see it in the pics but to be on the safe side you should always run a DS loop. Yes aluminum DS's are strong but not indestructible.
