need help asap

Take the sims out and check the wires really good. I believe the passenger side O2 sensor wire is harder to check since it runs to the top of the tranny.

I have to pick up some more 30a fuses to test if the sims blow the fuse, i bought all that one of the local auto stores had in stock :p

was not raining when it happened and i didnt wash the motor down...

More updates:: found that fuse #2 30a engine control relay, asd spare is blown

when replaced with another 30a fuse it blows right when the key is turned.

does anyone have a wire diagram to this fuse so i can check for bad wires?

This should help some

what wire is blue with white stripe in the lowest plug on the ecm? I looked in the wire loom and it was repaired once, but it looks to be done well, but might as well confirm what wire it is.

still trying to find this one

Would fuse 49 (o2 sensor fuse) blow if it was an o2 issue? I know that its inline with the ecm/asd fuse

Mental check on wires to check::
1. o2 wires
2. injector wires
3. coil wires
4. ecm wires

I believe that is everything that runs on that circut

Maybe, maybe not. It is tied in with the Auto shutdown relay and the Oxygen Sensor downstream, as well as the o2 sensors

That is why i would assume it would blow that fuse to... but at this point i guess anything is possible. Its going to be an all day venture tomorrow checking wires

Pull the oxygen sensor relay, put new fuse in and see if it blows. This will break part of the circuit to the o2 sensors. If it blows then (probably not o2 sensor related), if it blows you gotta trace those wires.

I have seen some really crazy crap that made no sense before. You would think something would blow, and it wouldn't. Something that looks fine would blow the fuse.

Be careful not to start throwing money at it with this sensow and that sensor. Save yourself a headache and have a good shop or the dealer check it out. Might cost ya 90 bucks but it is better than replacing tons of small stuff that doesn't fix your problem. Diagnosing over a forum prolly isn't the best route with electrical issues. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will wanna know the outcome once u find the prob. I have done the parts replacement game with vehicles in the past. Just get it checked out, you won't regret it.

This might be the easiest way to go. Whats a full day (or more, maybe with parts) worth to you?
At some point you have to say screw it and take it to someone. How is the dealer that sold you the truck?

MAJOR UPDATE ha::

Went outside and pulled the o2 relay and the fuse didnt pop... put the o2 relay back in and the fuse didnt pop... did the key sequence and it now worked and said done in the odo so the computer is back up and reading....

I dont have enough fuses right now to complete the fuse box or I would try and start it.

I AM STUMPED! I can almost promise that if i had all the fuses it would start right now. I did wiggle a lot of wires, but as of now the short is gone *insert puzzled face here*

Told ya

Maybe the relay was held closed (energized). When you pulled it it opened. Then because your missing other fuses the trigger to energize it is not present.

yea, but you still have trouble :D
