HOW CAN I TELL IF MY FAN IS ON HIGH?

i bought a sct from torrie and installed the performance tune.told him to turn the fan on earlier (i do have a 170* thermostat). so today its about 82* out and temp guage was reading 190 to 200 ish. stopped and popped the hood, but can't tell if fan is on high.some have said its noisy when on high.not mine is there a way to jump a relay or switch to check it?:dontknow:

put it back to stock ,,warm it up go for a cruz ,,,

well... i don't have a stock tune. the one the sct saved is my old stage 1 tune from B&G( don't know if they programmed fan to come on sooner).theres got to be a way to jump terminals (trick it) to kick it on high while its running just don't know where? i'll look into it some more

There is a thread by stingray(I'm pretty sure) in the do it yourself section, in the 5 years I've had my truck I've never heard my fan run on high

i let my membership dues expire,,,,,i thought i read somewhere with stock tune the high speed doesn't come on until 232*?

You should rarely hear it come on! If so you have a cooling issue! Mone I've heard maybe once with A/C on and just over 210. Now days after tuning and unblocking radiator (plastic deflectors) mine is steady at 185-190 and stays there. You don't want that F'n fan coming on as when it does it sucks another 20hp away! :chain:

If you wanna just see if the fan is working correctly I believe you can ( on a cool engine) disconnect the coolant temp sensor while engine running. This should trigger the fan operation.

Sounds about where you asked him. Either you're not getting that hot, or your coolant temp sensor or whatever signals fans on these trucks is off?

If it comes on high you will know it,It is loud.

well.... i got it up to 200* and popped the hood,fan didn't seem loud to me

Justin's electric fan, 172 degree T-Stat, and a Flex-a-lite fan controller combined on my truck = temps never reaching 180 degrees.

my fan is very loud, my temps stay at 170-180
