2004 Radio/CD changer broken??

So I bought the truck last week. Finally was able to get it on the road and enjoy it yesterday. I was at Walmart, and I couldnt resist the $5 bin of extended cut Foreinger cd. (I love that old hair band ****..lol) I thought it would be a good CD to break the truck in with! I WAS WRONG! The CD wont load. The radio wont even reconginze to load, eject, or a CD mode. It makes some noises like it's trying to cycle through the changer.

I never thought to try the CD player out when I bought the truck!

DAMMIT MAN!

Anyone know of anything I can try before I replace?

Remove the negative battery cable for a few moments,see if it will reset.

Disconnected it for 15 min. Still nothing. It making noise now when I turn the key to on before I push the start button.

same thing happend to me buddy.

bought the truck & never tested the cd player. it would play here & there but not much.

had to get another one.

How big of a rush are you in ??

I am thinking of getting a new one, aftermarket that is.

After I install it. you can swing by and grab it :dontknow:

but if you are in a hurry, I don't know.

Not in a huge hurry at all. Just one of those things that will big the crap out of me. If your talking in the near future that would be great. Meanwhile I'll keep my eyes peeled for someone getting rid of one.

I'm looking at a few radios on eBay right now. Rather buy from a VTCOA member. Anyone have a radio/cd player from an 04/05? I'd like to have the 6 disc one.

UPDATED

I put my K&N intake in last night, and when I hooked the negitive cable back to the battery my cd player/changer went nuts. This is the 2nd POS that died on me in 4 months. Im done with that piece of S#$% chrysler part!
