Yup! Dont know how the hell I did it. I drive it to have fun but its never been on the track or ever had anything but street tires on it, and its only got 28k. Blew the ring and pinion.

You realize I said ring and pinion right?

I just had it up on my buddies lift, pulled the cover and it looked like somebody from Maine was smiling at me!

Sounds like a quality diagnosis to me! Lol.

Yep. I didn't realize you had actually pulled the diff cover off yet and breaking a Dana 60 R&P is rare.

Ya just my luck.... Think I'm going to stay with the 456's. I have every intention to get more ponies out of this thing, dont want to leave myself geared short later on.

Not to laugh at your expense but the missing teeth on the gears analogy is great.

Was it low on fluid/leaking/whining like bitch? Kind of bizarre for it to just grenade on you.

What gear oil are you guys using for the rear end? I want to change the fluid in mine and was wondering what brand and viscosity royal purple? is there any additives from mopar that need to be added? thanks

Straight 90w mopar oil and Mopar friction lube 6oz is recommended :)

too bad your not near me, i have an extra rear axle minus brake calipers (4.56) sitting in garage bro . might have let it go for a small fee:D

No signs at all! Fluid level was perfect, it was even clean golden brown when I drained it. Just chunks of gear stuck to the magnet inside the cover.

Thanks bro but I cant even imagine what the shipping would be on that.
