carbon fiber driveshaft for sale

it's actually, 3 oz. heavier, i think...

but with carbon, your drivetrain shock between gears will be lessened, the flex from the carbon can potentially help with wheelspin, and it's just cool to say:D
 
I just installed mine yesterday....The Carbon fiber shaft weighed 17.0 lbs (weighed 5 times) and my stock diveshaft weighed 15.7 lbs (also weighed 5 times). On the dyno the baseline pull made 524 (1st pull) and 519 (2nd pull) back to back , was getting warm. The truck had cooled about 1/2 hour before dyno test. Time about 10 am, temp about 84 degrees. We then changed the driveshaft, took about 1.5 hours (we were trying to find a new rear seal for the trans, small leak), then re-dyno. Temp was still about 84 degrees, engine was real cool, warmed up to operating temp, then made 3 pulls back to back.....522, then 523, then 522. Really not much difference on the dyno, I may try to do the test and tune this Friday (although it will be hot, I hope to see a difference in the 60' time).
 
i can tell you the "feeling" between powershifts seemed much more muted, and whether it helped with 60' or not, there's no question that any time you're taking stress off other components has to be a good thing... IMO

Trainman, what all you have done to your truck, is it forged,cam,522whp are pretty good #'s!

Unless its changed he's never even took the valve covers off his truck. Just bolt on's. His truck was one of the factory ''freaks'' I believe and he's a heck of a driver:burnout:

Engine is all stock internally, ported intake, JTS Venom throttle body, underdrive pully, headers, catless, equal length true duals with an x-pipe. truck has 64,700 miles. True, I've never removed a valve cover. Dyno reads high, its a Dynocom with eddy brake. Those readings were with the street 91 tune and full stock tires spinning. Last time a couple of months ago, little cooler weather, spinning the Bogarts and slicks, 109 octane, race tune made 578 rwhp. The last time at DC Performance in stock trim it made 510 rwhp on the Dynojet.
