Oh, man. I love zebra gum. I remember going into Toys R Us when I was a little kid with my dad and I had to have that gum.

But, back on subject. Will Bazooka Joe hold up to the engine heat?

14lbs the biggest problem is blowing hoses and header collector gaskets. Still have the bb long tubes feeding the beast of a turbo. Traction is another issue lol

I've heard of people using hair spray to "glue" the hoses to their pipes to help with that

Got any pics of the setup?
Long tubes going to a rear mount turbo sounds cool.

You can , according to Wikipedia, use a blowpop to do the trick! Suck until candy coating is gone, then chew the center for. 5 seconds till flavor is gone. Then proceed to use for repairs. :chain:

That response tells me I've been around way longer than most and a lot of details from the early years are all but forgotten

By all means, press on :boring:

You notice that the dreaded #3 problem has not been an issue for a good while now? I honestly think the vast majority of problems back then were tune related.

These trucks are getting ''older'' now and there's not as many people throwing blowers on ''stock'' engines anymore either. At least from what I've seen on the forums in the last few years:dontknow:

STS blew up my engine twice. The second time it had forged pistons. I went from the original setup with 4 extra injectors to 65 lb injectors with the VEC3 (plus meth) to the SCT. I spent hours changing waste gate springs and moving hoses around. I had tunes from all over including Sean Roe. It was his tune I was running with the #3 impacted the spark plug and closed the gap. It held together for a little while longer then let go on a dyno. To me this was not a tunning issue. The issue was the spikes in boost. I would drive around with 5lb springs and get about 5 psi on my boost gauge. Then during shifts I would see 7 or 8 psi. That is what happened the first time on the dyno. A spike of 8 psi on the final run and it let go. I think the STS is a good system but not on the viper engine.

Did your setup come with 1 or 2 wastegates? What size wastegates were they?
