Hey guys, I've been driving my srt10 for almost 7 months now and I still have my good days and bad days driving it. I have an issue that I want to make sure isn't an issue with my driving vs mechanical.

    1. I find on wet cold days I'll press the clutch in to shift and the rpms won't drop as fast forcing me to shift much slower...if I'm not paying attention the truck will studder because the torque converter has to slow the engine down to match the speed. Is this normal? Some days the rpms drop won't be consistent and some shifts will be smooth versus terrible...

On nice dry days though everything seems normal, I don't know what's going on...

Well you have an RC so there is no torque converter! you would do well changing out the TPS (throttle position sensor) . that is probably what is causing your rpm hang. the dampness of the wet days is shorting the voltage signal from the TPS. real cheap to change.

Yup no torque converter and I agree with the TPS and cleaning idle air actuator

Oh wow, no torque converter? Nice to know, haha. Is that something easy to do on my own or could I tell the dealer to change it out for me?

Since you thought your truck had a torque converter you probably should let the dealer do it...

Easy! 2 screws and an electrical connection. Disconnect the battery to reset the computer and you are good to go. Passenger side of the throttle body. Give it a try!

Well the dealer couldnt replicate the slow dropping rpms issue, guess I'll have to do this on my own. Passenger side of the throttle body? Where am I buying the new replacement tps?

Any parts store will have them in the $20-$40 range, easy, easy to do. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Wouldn't hurt to do the TPS reset either.

So i was driving home today and it was being a pain in the ass the entire drive home until i jumped off the line with some kind of popping noise and then the rpms started dropping perfectly out of nowhere... Kind of sounded like a backfire.
